We are delighted to announce that we have been successful in a bid to the Community Fund of the National Lottery for £20K.

This money will make an important contribution to the purchase and installation of a Heat Recovery System for the Hall, bringing warm air from the ceiling of the hall down to the ground level – where people are. This will not only allow us to make a contribution to greenhouse warming by reducing the energy we consume, it will reduce our energy bills and thus we can continue to offer hire of the hall to community groups at a very reasonable price.

We have still some way to go in raising all the money we need to make this listed Victorian building energy efficient but this is a great and very welcome start.
